How to Select a Saint for Confirmation Names
Your confirmation name is meant to form a connection with a patron saint. This saint will act as a guide on your spiritual journey. Your confirmation name does NOT have to match your given or baptismal name. You are not limited to saints of the same gender either.
There are several ways to select a saint. You may choose a patron:
- to set an example for your faith journey;
- who reflects your values or interests;
- based on your future occupation;
- due to family tradition.
