These #18185202 altar candles are made from unbleached 51% beeswax. They measure 2 ½” wide by 12” long. Unbleached beeswax candles are usually used by Catholic churches during Requiem Masses, Advent, Lent and especially on Good Friday.
Because beeswax burns slower than paraffin wax, they’ll last longer and can be stored almost indefinitely. Depending on how often you hold services, you could use the same unbleached 51% beeswax candle over a course of several years. Beeswax candles also burn cleaner and give off far less soot than pure paraffin candles.
Unbleached beeswax candles drip less than paraffin wax. If you use a candle follower and a lighter/extinguisher, your unbleached beeswax candles will last longer. Candle followers and lighters/extinguishers are available in our online store.
