51% beeswax altar candles #10060006 from T.H. Stemper measure 7/8” wide by 8” long and may be purchased with a plain end (PE) or a self-fitting end (SFE). Paraffin candles cannot compete with 51% beeswax candles. Beeswax candles burn longer and cleaner, with a distinct natural aroma.
Scent and dye free, our 51% beeswax candles are bleached to achieve their stunning whiteness.
Beeswax features many long-lasting properties to keep it burning long and bright for many Sunday church services. It softens at 90° Fahrenheit (32° C) and melts between 143°F and 151°F (62°C – 66°C), burning very slowly at high heat. Beeswax altar candles last for many uses and do not degrade if stored for long periods of time. Candles stored over time will develop a soft white coating called “bloom,” easily wiped away with a soft cloth. Bloom has no effect on a beeswax candle’s burn.
While 100% beeswax candles provide the very longest and cleanest burn, 51% beeswax candles are an affordable alternative, saving you money while giving you the benefit of a cleaner burn compared to paraffin. Add a candle follower to help manage wax drippings and further increase total burn time.
